Prepare yourself with a reality-based example which show you concretely what type of behavior you appreciate. Arrange a follow-up meeting to show that you actually want change to happen. Most importantly, adjust the process after your employees’ motivation and needs. Is the person driven by challenges? Formulate promising goals together! Is the person driven by variation and change? Make sure that this person is constantly doing different things! Lastly, how do you know what they are driven by? Look at the person’s PI-pattern.
